For the boot
Regardless of body style, every car needs an isolated boot in order to reduce cabin noise.
Microvibrations from the car boot can cause significant cabin noise, which can be mitigated by the following systems:
Layer One | On the floor of the boot and boot bonnet is a layer of vibration cushioning material: Alumast |
---|---|
Layer Two | On the floor of the boot is a second layer of sound absorbing material: BB-Ton |
Layer Three | On the wheel wells inside of the boot is a separate layer of vibration cushioning material: Kombi |
Layer Four | On the wheel wells inside of the boot is a second layer of sound absorbing material: Violon PTN |
Layer Five | On the floor of the boot is a layer of vibration cushioning material: Alumast |
Layer Six | On the floor of the boot is a second layer of sound absorbing material: BB-Ton |
Layer Seven | On the boot bonnet is a second layer of sound absorbing material: SGM-izol |
These isolating systems can reduce cabin noise by as much as 3-6 dB on separate frequencies.
